Late Sri Karnam Chinnaiah Garu Founder of Zilla Parishad High School, Pedanandipadu

Late Sri Karnam Chinnaiah Garu, the esteemed founder of Zilla Parishad High School, Pedanandipadu, remains a pivotal figure in the educational landscape of our region. Established nearly 109 years ago, well before India’s independence, his vision transcended mere academic achievement; he aimed to uplift communities by addressing the stark absence of educational opportunities in surrounding villages.

A respected member of the British Council, Sri Chinnaiah Garu’s influence extended far beyond education. His modest stature belied his immense impact, beautifully captured in the Telugu proverb, “VIGRAHAM CHINNADEKANI, AAYANA KEERTHI CHALA GOPPADI.” His tireless commitment to social upliftment was evident through his selfless service and personal sacrifices.

Born into a Zamindari family, he exemplified humility, integrity, and visionary leadership. His contributions extended to the establishment of hospitals, libraries, parks, and other essential infrastructure. Above all, he believed education must be inclusive, accessible, and transformative—transcending caste, creed, and colour.

Today, we proudly honour Late Sri Karnam Chinnaiah Garu’s enduring legacy, which continues to guide and inspire our institution as a beacon of knowledge, compassion, and unity.
